Correction**

I would like to make a correction that we have only been married for 2 months and a day, it has not actually taken forever to get our house in order. Jake was offended. I love him.

Projects...

So, I have been dying to get my house all decorated and in order but it feels so expensive and like it takes forever. I am constantly browsing for pillows, sideboards, etc... Today I found my first project for our bedrom. the headboard. How spiffy that before I can do this however Jake and I are going to have to paint the room. Jake does not want to paint. I however, cannot wait! This is a nifty headboard made out of mirrors that you can buy for cheap at Ikea. Jake hasn't approved this idea yet, but it's so sleek I don't know how he wouldn't.

Octopi...

For my graphic design class I have to do 200 versions of a logo for a company called Octopus Technologies. While searching anywhere and everywhere for inspiration I found these fantastic pieces and hope to have an all black octopus chandelier of my own one day. Thought I would share. Don't Judge, I think they're fabulous! Fest your eyes!

THAT GIRL WORKS THOSE HEELS.

This week Jake and I were able to take Martin Luther King day to relax and not do anything all day... Psych. Although I had school off Jake and I both had to work this Monday which was not a big deal at all and at least I didn't have to go to school after until 9. Since I finally had some free time I decided it would be awesome to meet up with my family for dinner. We left work and met them at Texas Roadhouse. It was awesome to see them since I hadn't since Christmas. After we were able to go over to sissy's house and play my families favorite new game called "Things" it is mind blowing-ly hilarious with my family and if you haven't had the chance to play it... Call Jake & I. We would be more than happy to play it with you! Anyways, my adorable niece Monroe was there and watch this girls talent. This video is actually the whole reason I posted this blog... Enjoy.

I am married to the perfect woman!

So let me tell you a little bit about my perfect wife! Chelsey went to class today and they asked her what kind of car she would drive if she had any car and let me show you what she said!!!
Yeah how insainly  awesome is that and it just keeps getting better with Chels her second fav when asked is of course!
Lets just say that there is not another woman in the world that has better taste than my girl i love her so much!

So past her perfect taste in cars, she is still perfect! I  have a crazy diet and she finds me something to eat every day and cooks every night. She still finds me stuff that i can eat every evening and thanks to her i have not increased in my loss of weight!! Which is a good thing because it is slowly saving my little bit of pride if any that i have left! Chelsey has also been going to school full time and most of her classes she has to be there for 6 hours each and only get s 3 credits for 6 hours i am not sure if that is even legal to do to a girl but it is happening.. and on top of that she is working so that she can support my ridiculous spending habits and dose not complain about it! and when i say doesn't complain about it i am referring to my spending habits i can't tell you how much control and love that has got to take!
So the other night we had some friends come over and go to the temple and play some games afterward and when they went to leave they discovered that there car battery had died so we went out and i tried to use this new little hand held car jumper that i just got for christmas and sadly it just didn't have enough juice to jump the car and so chels came out and suggested to just use the hummer and i was like i got this.. tryin to be a man and well i went back in and got the hummer and so when i went back inside to face the wife she said so did the hummer work and i said work for what we used it cause we needed a light and to my dismay she had told our friend that when i came in that is just what i was going to say... to  say the least i am so greatful for the woman that i married because not only is she perfect in a lot of other ways she is sweet pays attention to me and knows me all to well and loves me anyway!

FORGETFUL.

So I started school last week. It was a sad day for me, I was enjoying my break all too much and wasn't ready for an intense semester of 5 classes while working. I am currently working doing System Administration, Project Management and Graphic Design on the side. I have been so blessed with my job because they are so flexible with my schedule. I have to drive back and forth to work and school which stinks, but it lets me do both. Jacob is still working at Liberty Press and I am thankful that he is willing to do that. He wasn't able to go back to school this semester so I am thankful that he is willing to work. Hopefully when I am finally done I can work while he goes to school. Yup. Jake is doing really well on his diet. It's been a little over two months now of gluten free, sugar free, dairy free and we're getting kind of use to it. We've worked out a few dishes that taste great and are gluten free. Jake's a stud and doesn't cheat on the diet. He looks to his potato chips when he is out of ideas of what to eat. Tonight it's gluten free pasta with sugar free sauce. That's probably the easiest decent tasting meal that we have. Jake's starting to feel better and can move around in the mornings without having to wait a couple hours.

Jake and I attending the temple Saturday with the Thornock's. Have to say, that is one of my favorite dates with Jacob. It was my fist time seeing the Provo temple and it was very beautiful.

I must be overwhelmed lately because I have been spacey and forgetful. I can't remember where I put my ring, the gift cards, the ipad or where I had been that day.  Luckily Jake always knows where I put it. The other day Jake accused me using his toothbrush because he found it laying next to the sink instead of in the toothbrush holder.  I laughed at him and told him it wasn't me. I honestly thought that i didn't. Then the other day Jake walks in and sure enough... I'm using his toothbrush. Caught red handed. The worst part, it was unintentional and I never would have noticed. Poor Jake has to keep putting up with all the dumb things I have done. But ey, I'm thankful for that.

FROSTBITE

So this break has been amazing. Being able to spend the Holidays with my sweetie is the best. Who knew I was missing out on so much goodness last year? For New Years eve we went snowmobiling. My first time going with Jake. Anyone who knows Jake knows he loves to snowmobile and anyone who knows me knows I hate the cold. So it's probably a good thing we got married right before snowmobile season or who knows what the outcome would have been? ;) Jake got me an amazing new coat, snow pants and a beanie for Christmas and we headed off Friday to Daniels Summit. As soon as I stepped out of the car I knew I was out of my element but decided to tough it up anyways. The closed helmet Jake had planned on my wearing was way to big and so we chose another. We started riding for about 30 seconds when we realized that helmet wouldn't work either. The inside had not only fogged up, but had iced over and I could not see the way we were turning causing me to lean wrong and the snowmobile to tip. Grr. I ended up taking off in an open face helmet... No ninja mask underneath... nothing. Hanging on to the back of Jakes snowmobile riding up the road I was crying. Freezing beyond belief. My feet were cold, my hands were freezing off and I couldn't feel my face, we had been going for about 2 minutes. Anyways, after about 2 1/2 3 hours of me and Jake switching off driving so I would have a shot of holding onto the hand warmers we arrived back to the car. (I stopped crying about half way I'll have you know) My disappointed husband was sweet and let me go straight to the truck to warm up, which took about an hour. In the truck I was able to see what the temperature was down at the parking lot. -5. So That made me feel less bad about how miserable I was. Nothing is that fun that cold. When we got home just as I suspected I found a cold frostbite mark on my left cheek, a battle wound I suppose. Jake and I finished off the night at a family Bingo party and I kissed my new husband into the New Year. I am so lucky to have him!
